Performance Specialist Manager, Retail


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience coaching, developing, and managing executive stakeholders.
  • People Management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading decentralized specialist teams.
  • Experience working across multiple markets in large organizations.
  • Experience working across product, operations, and sales teams.
  • Advertising experience from either the Retailer, agency, or other media owner side.
  • Deep knowledge of Google's and third party Retail solutions (including Cloud).

Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

The Large Customer Sales (LCS) organization in Northern Europe consists of business area teams and a specialist team. In this role, you will be part of the Northern Europe Specialist team. The business area teams own the relationships with customers. The specialist organization works side-by-side with the business teams to define, promote, and scale best practice by being true specialists in each relevant area. On the other side the specialist team works with EMEA and Global product teams to set the product strategy, ensure smooth and fast roll out in the markets, and become in-depth experts in Google's solutions.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.


  • Manage and develop a team of Googlers. Grow careers, manage for high performance, and coach on a daily basis.
  • Work across multiple teams and functions seamlessly to solve complex agency and customer challenges whilst driving impact for Google's Search, Display and Video business and product adoption (both platforms) in an inclusive and positive manner.
  • Work closely with a global network of Retail Specialists and Leaders to identify and remove roadblocks for the team, partnering closely with Go-To-Market and gTech.
  • Be responsible for setting the product strategy and goals for retail solutions in Northern Europe (together with retail partners elsewhere in the business) and drive the team and wider Northern Europe LCS business in the right direction.
