Job Description Summary
The Manager Supplier Quality Liquids assumes the responsibility to identify, qualify, manage, and improve commodity related quality improvements, bottlenecks during qualification stage and lifecycle of the of the supplier relationship. The focus of the role is to manage the end to end qualification of the supplier for direct materials ensuring sourcing, engineering and plant operations are involved along the way. The Manager Supplier Quality Liquids reports directly to Supplier Quality Leader.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supplier and Material Qualifications responsible
  • Define and ensure the deployment of standard qualification process
  • Plan Qualification along with key stake holders
  • Define qualification tasks and resource requirements for each qualification with the Commodity Teams
  • Develop Operational Planning, scheduling & follow-up project timelines
  • Gatekeeper for Qualification Process for respective commodity
  • Drive key stake holders to deliver on commitments/timelines
  • Follow up tasks with stakeholders on daily basis
  • Ensure documents are uploaded in ERP by all stake holders
  • Prioritization of new tasks or Requirements from stakeholders
  • Handle communications on day to day between all stakeholders which includes plants with respect to qualification
  • Resolve disputes between stakeholders in qualification
  • Identify key bottle necks in qualification and escalate key issues and work on improvements
  • Carry qualification reviews together with relevant functions and suppliers
  • Ensure that deliverables from those functions to suppliers are provided on time
  • Ensure that deliverables from supplier to qualification team are provided on time
  • Ensure consistency of information between qualification team and suppliers
  • Ensure the early involvement of SQA teams and transfer to mass production according to existing best practices
  • Lead Production part approval process with suppliers.
  • Periodical validation of suppliers
  • Responsible in signing quality agreements, specification on behalf of supplier quality with suppliers
  • Participates and provides expertise feedback related to material specifications of chemicals, peroxide, vinylesther, polyester, epoxy, and gelcoat systems
  • Handle engineering change with supplier related to specifications
  • Supplier Performance:
  • Support supply performance team in handling claims and improving supplier KPIs
  • Conduct frequent business management review with suppliers
  • Audit:
  • Lead SRG audits, Qualification audit and PPAP audits
  • Support in supplier process audit, surveillance audit and incident audit when needed

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry with experience in managing suppliers.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in working in Manufacturing, preferable more than 3 years of experience working in blade manufacturing and 3 years of experience in managing supplier quality
  • Experience with Chemicals, specifically Peroxides, Gelcoats, Vinylesther, Polyester and Epoxy systems
  • Auditing skills as per ISO9001:2015, TS16949:2016.
  • Knowledge on the Quality Management systems.
  • Good knowledge of logistics, quality, reliability, quality systems and sourcing business processes.
  • Good Project Management skills.
  • Knowledge of PDCA, SPC, 8D, Poke Yoke and FMEA methodologies.
  • Willingness to take responsibility and drive the solution of complex problems.
  • Must be a team player capable of integrating and work well in a cross functional team.
  • Results driven, with analytical and numeric skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines.
  • Experience in dealing with International Customers/ Suppliers / Customs.
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal (key)
  • Able to travel 40% in their work schedule

  • Note:
