We are now looking for a R&D Design Control Specialist.

We offer an outstanding chance to work with the development of medical devices of a high technical complexity including hardware, electronics, and software.

R&D, Design Control Specialist TC System Development
Transcutaneous monitoring (TCM) is a non-invasive method for patients who need continuous monitoring of oxygen and carbon dioxide with minimal blood draws. Radiometer provides a complete range of transcutaneous monitoring systems, which cover parameters such as tcpO2, tcpCO2 as well as Masimo SET® SpO2 and pulse rate. Radiometer’s transcutaneous monitoring systems are specially designed for neonatal intensive care units, intensive care units and sleep diagnostics.

In collaboration with international stakeholders across the organization, you team up with the very skilled R&D, RA, QA, Operations and Marketing colleagues to help Radiometer’s vision of helping caregivers making diagnostic decisions that save lives.

Design control and product development
In this role you will use your understanding of the relationship between regulations and quality management systems to scope project deliverables and set the direction for product development teams. You will be responsible for generating project deliverables alongside with your supporting role. Besides working closely with your R&D colleagues you will align with stakeholders across the organization (e.g., QA and RA) to ensure that commitment exists on the agreed strategy.

The exciting challenges of being part of a system development team in Radiometer
Our new colleague will need to have system mindset and to be creative to tackle the challenges ahead, and we expect that you are interested in the technology that makes the product's work. You will build project documentation yourself as well as pursuing the guiding role.

On a day-to-day basis, expect to be involved in the following processes and decisions:

  • Working with the project manager on execution, project risks and prioritizing of what and who is needed internally or externally
  • Generation and update of project documentation such as design and development plan
  • Build clarity of document and approval flows including critical path for these
  • Collaborate with Usability and risk managers on product- and project activities
  • Collaborate with engineers on product requirement engineering, system engineering and design reviews.

As a design control specialist, you will join the Global Radiometer R&D design control change board team where you will represent TCM and have influence on how we develop and improve our QMS system in the best way possible to enable us to make a difference for our customers the most efficient way.

Expect 7-14 days of travelling throughout the year.

We believe that you have a technical educational background as an engineer or similar. Furthermore, to succeed in the job:

  • 2+ years of experience with in a Diagnostic or Medical Device company
  • A curios problem solver willing to learn and develop
  • Abilities to work cross-functionally and understand the agendas in Marketing, RA, QA, R&D and Production
  • A positive minded personality with flair for execution and keeping stakeholders engaged
  • A global reach with a people person demeanor across all cultures

As a communicator, you are fluent in English and understand the importance of keeping relevant stakeholders timely advised.
