Core Responsibilities
In this specialist role as Head of System Innovation you create and drive a strong aspirational vision for the LEGO® System in Play based on trends, consumer insights, market landscapes and business needs. Moreover, for the LEGO® Building Systems, you will:

• Set and direct the short- and long-term strategic direction, integrating future vision for LEGO® System in Play and business plans initiatives
• Champion a world class Design Tone of Voice direction guided by LEGO® values and vision
• Set strong direction, motivate and lead cross functional teams to deliver groundbreaking designs
• Drive synergies and build strong relationships and collaborations between Design and Engineering to exceed in driving an impactful innovation
• Support, integrate and convert new innovative production capabilities and materials into new opportunities in close collaboration with Engineering

Play your part in our team succeeding
Based out of Billund, Denmark, you will join an innovative, passionate and highly collaborative leadership team of five functions areas, where you will take the functional lead of the System Innovation Team. Our main objective is to govern, nurture, develop and innovate our LEGO® System in Play, to enable all kids gets a great LEGO® build and play experience. We are a part of a big inspiring and dynamic LEGO® Design organization and work closely together with LEGO® Designers.

Do you have what it takes?
You hold the level of a bachelor’s degree and you have proven experience as a design leader, driving across teams and working with development of physical product experiences in play-centric related industries. Moreover, you bring:

• Solid experience in setting comprehensive design TOV directions, converting values and strategy into tangible visual opportunities
• Strong creative and innovative approach, dare to re-think, fail and proactive use trends, data and consumer insights to predict and set direction
• Highly collaborative, positive approach and dedicated team player, who understands how to drive trust and empower others
• Outstanding in communication, presenting and visualizing, driving strong partner management and collaboration.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken, is required
• Passion and interest for play and toys
• A strong design portfolio, demonstrating a broad design skill and leadership track of record
