Meta is seeking a Data Center Facility Project Manager to join our Data Center Facility Operations team. Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our software operates to meet the demands of our customers. The candidate will as portfolio manager be accountable for all retrofits on an operational data center campus and Retrofit Approval and Management Process (RAMP) process governance. Prioritises strategic site portfolio. Accountable for overall risk management, resource management, communications management, and implementation of FacOps Standards to the Retrofit Team. The candidate will be experienced in a live environment and deeply understand the interdependencies of the systems. The responsibilities of this role will help coordinate and prioritise a wide range of project planning and execution, developing project charters, work breakdown structures, and resource-loaded schedules. The role requires proficiency in communicating issues and successes with respective operations groups. This individual will be coordinating all required resources to accomplish multiple projects for the site providing prioritisation of work. Proficiency in working with sourcing and contract resources is essential.
Facility Project Manager Responsibilities
Lead prioritization of data center projects across a multiple building site
Oversee/Develop project charters, schedules, resource requirements, and work breakdown structures
Coordinate efforts of a project team including Project Controls, Safety, Quality Assurance/Control, Scheduling, Engineering and other cross functional partners to ensure successful delivery of projects
Work directly with Sourcing Managers to help develop critical vendor contracts
Manage multiple project scopes from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
Partner with project controls resources to develop cost and schedule estimates for projects and provide project forecasts and financial updates to internal teams
Report on health of project portfolio including safety, schedule, cost, risk and quality to site leadership
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution and completion to safety, schedule, budget, and quality
Coordinate with various cross functional teams to provide project planning and execution support where needed
Oversee an operational shut-down program, developing long-term program charters and communicate to various levels across the organization
Ensure execution of commissioning process leveraging on site Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) resources and commissioning agents as applicable
Occasional travel as required
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years project management experience in any combination of construction, operations, maintenance, and project planning in complex environments
Familiar with Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, and Fire & Life Safety Systems, and applicable building codes
Experience forecasting project budgets, schedules, and resources
Familiar with Project Management IT toolsets (i.e.: Microsoft Project, Primavera, Procore, P6, e-Builder, etc.)
Familiar with Maintenance Planning tools such as CMMS
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in critical environment projects
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering or project management
PMP or equivalent Project Management certification
