Senior Structural Engineer (10+ years experience)
Are you interested in an alternative and exciting next step in your engineering career? Do you want to engage and provide input to some of the most structurally interesting, environmentally sustainable, and technically challenging projects happening around the globe? If you are interested in helping to develop structural schemes for competitions in Asia, providing input on 3D printed communities in the Americas, and engaging in full documentation and construction of buildings and Europe, then we strongly encourage you to join the BIG Engineering team in our Copenhagen office.
BIG Engineering is a rapidly developing team which specializes in providing input on the ‘bones’ of BIG’s buildings. As we provide input on projects for all offices across all phases of projects, we move at a very rapid pace in order to keep up with the ever-changing architectural concepts. We are committed to sustainable design and alternative design approaches, and are constantly developing and researching new ways of building; alternative methods of design, analysis, and drawing production; and new technologies that will push the envelope for building a more sustainable future.
BIGE has a strong pipeline of work and is growing rapidly. We are seeking an experienced structural engineer who can help lead teams of engineers on projects from competition/concept phases through construction. Coordinating working with architectural teams, other internal disciplines, and external consultants will be required, in addition to serving as a mentor to young engineers. Strong technical skills are a must, as review of drawings, reports, and calculations is a necessary part of this role.
