EIT Health Austria Collaboration Lead (m/f/d) About EIT Health EIT Health, a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) under the umbrella of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), is focused on promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and education in the domain of healthy living and active ageing. EIT Health brings together leading organisations along the entire value chain – smaller companies, larger industry, excellent academic and research institutions, and public sector organisations – to promote healthy living, support active ageing and improve healthcare. The organisation achieves this by removing barriers to innovation, promoting talent and education, leveraging enabling technologies and exploiting big data. EIT Health Central Office is in Munich and develops its activities across a network of regional Innovation Hubs in Paris, London, Barcelona, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Vienna and Mannheim. In addition, the InnoStars office in Budapest involves Partners from Hungary, Poland, Portugal, and Italy. EIT Health includes more than 150 partners. About EIT Health Austria in Vienna The Regional Innovation Hub (RIH) EIT Health Austria in Vienna is the newest of eight EIT Health hubs in Europe. EIT Health Austria works with leading companies and public institutions in the healthcare sector, renowned universities, and research institutes, as well as start-ups, on urgent challenges in the healthcare. Our public-private partnership delivers solutions for high-performing healthcare systems, healthier citizens, and a sustainable healthcare economy in Europe. With concrete measures and programmes, we open new resources for established and young health players to realize their ideas in joint products and services for the European market. Your role Your role as Collaboration Lead will focus on engaging with existing network partners and building sustainable relationships with key stakeholders to ensure partner needs are met and operations run smoothly. As a successful candidate, you will lead and support the development of proposals for partner business plan calls, support hub management in onboarding new members, and build long-term relationships with the partner network, regional innovation communities, European hubs, the EIT Health Network, and other innovation hubs across Europe. Your responsibilities: • Successfully engage relevant stakeholders in the local ecosystem for appropriate business plan opportunities, supplementing gaps in the consortium with appropriate proposals within and outside of the EIT Health membership. • • • In collaboration with the Head of Entrepreneurship, drive partner recruitment campaigns and dissemination efforts to reach and engage a broader multidisciplinary and multicultural audience. Develop new initiatives within the network and with relevant stakeholders, including participation in other public and private funding programmes. Develop and maintain a valuable EIT Health portfolio for the Partnership and the broader community, leveraging regional and international EIT Health resources. Your functional skills and experience: • Professional degree in a relevant healthcare, life science or business field, and professional, technical or management and leadership qualifications and/or equivalent experience. 1 • • Experience in healthcare or life science innovation and/or entrepreneurship in business and/or the public sector is an asset. Extensive network of contacts in the local and European health sector innovation system, particularly in the corporate and applied research and clinical scene; existing working relationships with regional programmes are an asset. • • • Ability to manage a range of tasks, identify opportunities for improvement and growth, and set and manage standards for delivery to support the cost-effective and targeted delivery of the Hub's activities. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong presentation skills, both oral and written, and the ability to present complex issues in English and German. Willing to travel regularly within the region and throughout Europe.
