Would you like to contribute to making Vestas even more sustainable? Are you interested in working in a cross functional role? We are currently looking for a new person who can contribute to development and implementation of new sustainability solutions.

Procurement Excellence & Sustainability is a cross-functional department within Global Procurement, responsible for the digitalisation of Procurement and implementation of Vestas' Sustainability Strategy. The team is located in Denmark (Aarhus and Copenhagen) and with an extended team in Manila and Chennai, that we work very closely with.

As our new Project Manager your role will be to coordinate and run the development, implementation, and adoption of the new sustainability solution within Vestas. Project management will be a key element in your workday where you will be interacting with many different stakeholders both internally and externally on a global scale. You will direct our new Carbon Out Program which combines cost-out and carbon-out initiatives to enable our colleagues in Global Procurement to take the right decisions and accelerate our transformation to secure sustainable growth. You will be responsible for our adoption of sustainability in our procurement organization by engaging with stakeholders and demonstrating that it is possible to gain marketability through carbon reduction in our supply chain.

Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and drive the implementation of sustainability solutions in Vestas
  • Develop our new Carbon Out Program in Global Procurement to ensure that we reach our 45% carbon footprint reduction target by 2030
  • Mobilise key stakeholders and a cross-functional team that brings the needed capabilities for scoping the project and defining goals and deliverables to make the project a success
  • Develop a detailed project plan to ensure that decisions are made, and execution is being tracked
  • Identify and work with the team to find ways to mitigate and handle risks
  • Provide transparency and demonstrate how we are taking carbon out of our supply chain to accelerate our transformation in Global Procurement
  • Facilitate the change management activities and set up reporting to track progress

Qualifications
On a professional level we expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • Relevant master's degree in supply chain, procurement, business administration, or similar
  • Solid project management skills with a proven history of success
  • Be a skilled collaborator with a professional attitude and demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and proactivity in the change management process
  • Hands-on experience with coordinating and developing carbon reduction initiatives in a procurement department
  • Experience in working with complex supply chain processes and carbon reduction activities
  • Ability to investigate business challenges and translate them into improvement solutions
