The QHSE training and development team is a key part of the global Quality, Continuous Improvement, Health and Safety and Environment (QHSE) organization. It supports the function in implementing the strategy with various training and education methods to ensure competencies throughout the global organization. It also promotes cultural development and coordinates global focus events.

Responsibilities
This position corresponds with a second open position to build a team within the global QHSE team. This position has a higher focus on the functional competence and training development, eighter in Quality and Continuous Improvement or Health & Safety and Environment.

  • You enhance the global Quality, Continuous Improvement or Health & Safety and Environmental capability framework and support strategic direction through assessments and strategic planning to set and achieve targeted levels of QHSE awareness and capabilities
  • You facilitate the definition of role specific QCI or HSE competencies across Vestas and ensure that a learning and development framework and infrastructure is aligned
  • You use your technical competences and act in the team as subject matter expert for Quality and CI or HSE competences training, and closely collaborate with the other experts to support the integrated management approach
  • You work with functional and regional leads to ensure competencies are assessed and development takes place
  • You support the Vestas QHSE culture development through awareness campaigns and global events facilitation (like Safety or Quality Days), networks, behavioral programs coordination like Safety and Quality Walks and other activities
  • You support the development of standardized reporting setup to track and continuously improve training delivery, competence, and capability improvements
  • Continuously develop own area of responsibility and acknowledge future trends within learning and competence

Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Solid experience preferably as a people leader, competency project manager or similar position in large, multinational, matrixed organization

Competencies

  • Competences in Quality, Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma), or HSE Management
  • Change Management and behavioral science understanding and experience
  • Strategic alignment including managing, communicating with, and influencing leaders in a large, multinational, matrixed organizations
  • Performance evaluation including ability to set up quality assurance processes and analyze gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Strong project, process, and event management skills
  • Works seamlessly with relevant technology, tools, and systems including becnhmarking

Additional information
Your work location will be at Vestas office at Aarhus, DK. Husum or Hamburg, DE. Other locations will be considered. Around 30-50 travel days/year is expected.
