We have very high ambitions in FLSmidth to reach Carbon neutral goals by 2030 from our operation and we are looking for a new employee who can drive our Climate and Energy program for our operational business securing excellent energy efficiency and Carbon neutral solutions across our business.
Your challenges
As our new Climate and Energy Program Manager, you will join our Group Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Travel Security department. We are a global team working closely with our region, industry and Group Sustainability Department. We are therefore flexible in terms of work location in case you live outside Denmark and prefer to work from one of our main offices.
You will be responsible of driving and executing our operational climate and energy program where you will act as a manager, key sparring partner and internal consultant on energy efficiency. You will, together with our Environment & Chemical specialist and other stakeholders revisit our Emission roadmaps and be the go-to-person for various colleagues in the entire HSEQ community.
More specifically, you will:
- Design, develop and implement Emission and Energy roadmaps
- Support region and industry in emission and energy reduction programs and initiatives
- Train and develop FLSmidth organization in understanding emissions and energy efficiency
- Support development of emission and energy KPI’s, policies, procedures and guidelines
- Lead, implement and continuously develop energy management ISO 50001
- Remain updated on new mega trends, key drivers, international standards and changes in legislation
- Support on master data related to emission and energy
In addition, you will be part of a global organization and can expect to travel internationally approximately 20 days annually.
Your Qualifications
To succeed as our new Group Climate & Energy Manager, you:
- Hold a degree in engineering or other relevant technical background
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with production technology and energy efficiency – preferably having knowledge of ISO 50001, energy management, energy reviews, renewable energy, energy efficiency conceptual designs and standardization
- Hold profound technical insight and know how to challenge and design the technology to become as energy efficient as possible
- Have solid project management experience
- Speak and write English at professional level
On a personal level, you are a self-starter, who are motivated by reaching challenging targets. You enjoy working with multiple and different stakeholders in projects and you are able to prioritize and structure your work to meet your deliverables on time and at required quality. You are used to navigate in a larger, international organization, and you are a true relationship builder, able to inspire and engage while you build lasting relations. You come across as accommodating and convincing and you easily engage with stakeholders across cultures and organizational levels utilizing your excellent communication skills. You are characterized by your robustness and you are not afraid to challenge and influence our suppliers to meet our standards.
