Job Description
Fixed-Term Contract: 2 Years
Current Location: Healthcare Office in Brøndby

Remote, South Denmark, Denmark
Requires flexibility around start and finish schedule
Target Start Date: February 2023

Hiring only candidates within Copenhagen, Denmark

Joining as a Junior Field Service Engineer you will be a part of our ultrasound service team mainly in the greater Copenhagen area. You will be assigned to a 2-year junior program with a view to taking a permanent Field Service Engineer role at GE on completion. The role is to maintain and repair medical equipment within the GE Healthcare range at customer sites while developing and maintain a strong relationship with the hospital staff.

Your 2-year program will be a combination of official product training at our GE training centers, coupled with day-to-day on the job training with current experienced engineers and you will be allocated a mentor to guide you.

Required Characteristics:

  • You should have a strong interest in technology and an ambition for a future career in medical equipment Service.
  • You should be a problem-solver by nature, able to think logically to successfully troubleshoot unfamiliar problems and take independently decisions.
  • You should be able to demonstrate manual dexterity and fine motor skills, with the ability to take things apart and put them back together again correctly.
  • You should have great written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to communicate bad news in the right way, to build great relationships with your customers (hospital staff).
  • A career in Field Service entails travelling to different hospitals every day, requiring flexibility around start and finish times. We are looking for candidates who relish the idea of a role that will bring an unexpected new challenge every day. A valid driver’s license is essential.
  • You must be willing, on occasion, to travel away from home to attend training courses abroad for a few days up to two weeks at a time.
  • You need to be organized and self-motivated, as you will be responsible for managing your own diary, handling both technical and admin task and be responsible for communicating internally and externally.
  • You should have basic IT literacy. Candidates with advanced IT skills will be viewed favorably.
