Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of smart metering solutions with headquarters in Stilling south of Aarhus. Our ambition is to turn meter data into insight to help utility companies optimize their production and distribution of energy and water, and Kamstrup was 2022 awarded the innovation prize by Dansk Industri (DI). Kamstrup’s business is undergoing rapid development, which means that the requirements and demands for our smart solutions targeting the water industry are growing. Therefore, we are looking for a Solution Manager for our Solution and Regional Product Management team in our water division.
With direct reference to our Head of Solution and Regional Product Management, you will become a part of a growing team, consisting of currently 6 colleagues who work with matching the needs of the customers with Kamstrup’s products and solutions. Professional sparring and knowledge sharing are paramount in our team. The team is a part of Product and Commercial Management, which consists of 40 colleagues and which you will be a key member.
A job in the intersection between customer needs and Kamstrup’s solutionsIn the role of Solution Manager, Nordic, you will work in close collaboration with customers, sales, product management and R&D in both Denmark and other Nordic countries. You will be responsible for the right solution offered to ensure maximum value for our customers. This implies that you are responsible for the technical design and manage to focus on the solution perspective and how data can be utilized to optimize business processes.
You will furthermore work closely with Product Development, where your insight into tenders demands and empirical data from client visits will make you a vital knowledge source for your colleagues. You thrive being close to our customers and acting as a trusted advisor in smart metering solutions, where your commercial and technical mindset is an advantage for better decision-making.
As Solution Manager, you will also be continuously involved in indirect marketing activities, which focus on driving the water business towards more digital solutions. You will thereby have a rich opportunity to influence the business by participating in framing webinars and whitepapers, as well as debates with consultancies and other stakeholders in the water business.
You can expect 10-15 travel days per year primally in the northern part of Europe.
Personality matters
We are looking for a person with great personal drive and the ability to represent Kamstrup in a professional way. You have an education as an engineer, or similar, with an interest in digitalization and business processes. It will furthermore be an asset if you have acted as a subject matter expert within the water industry, as well as you can see yourself in one or more of the following areas:
• Passion for digital products and solutions
• Experience in the water industry
• Experience with tender management
• Experience with digital business development
• Interest in IT security, IT hosting.
As a person, you can put yourself in the customer’s position and understand their needs. Your deep customer understanding enables you to always provide the best solution for the customer. Furthermore, you have an ambitious and professional approach to tackling your work tasks. As you will have a broad contact surface both within and outside the organization, you need to master stakeholder management, and you thrive in an extroverted role. You are team-oriented and ready to make a difference in your daily work.
You are fluent in both written and spoken English. Danish will be an advantage.
