Global Product Marketing Manager (Consumer)

Are you passionate about Consumer Electronics with a proven track record within product marketing, proposition development & driving sell-in & sell-out through sustained product marketing excellence?

The Gaming & Consumer Division is seeking a Global Product Marketing Manager to assume responsibility for core product marketing projects - from proposition development & testing, to sell-in excellence, GTM readiness & launch, through to in-market delivery of product marketing initiatives to drive continued product momentum (and sell-out).

The Global Product Marketing Manager will need to be a motivated, self-starter capable of working across multiple teams, and with multiple stakeholders (including the Jabra Consumer/BlueParrott regional teams, Product Management, Brand/Creative/Digital (BCD) and PR. The role sits within the tight-knit Global Consumer Marketing Team, reporting to the VP, Global Consumer Marketing (Jabra//BlueParrott).

Main Responsibilities
As Global Product Marketing Manager your main role is defining the “Who” (target audience) and crafting an insights-driven product story that resonates, is distinct from competition, and fits the portfolio strategy. Your role is to excite, educate and get buy-in from both internal and external stakeholders, on the solutions you are assigned to. This is done through various presentations to customers, senior management, and internal functions, as well as enablement initiatives towards regional teams (eLearning etc..) which you will create and deliver.

To plan and drive product launches successfully, clear communication and strong stakeholder management with Product Management, Marketing, Insights, Sales, Business Management and Regional Consumer Marketing is essential. You will work closely with Product Managers who own the “What” (i.e.. product definition) as well as our Brand/Creative & Regional teams, who need a brief from you to define “How” we communicate (i.e. the creative direction, final messaging, and marketing assets) and “How” we bring our award-winning products to market (accounting for specific market requirements & differences).

Specific Tasks:
Key tasks will include:

  • Identification of the target group and key insights to support individual product programs.
  • Working with Marketing Insights to drive new studies (registered user surveys, proposition tests etc.) to ensure we have the right foundation for the propositions being developed.
  • Developing product positioning that differentiates your solutions in the market and fits our overall portfolio narrative.
  • Steering naming through relevant forum & steercos. Product/feature/color naming
  • Claim Dev/Messaging. Define requirements & messaging for claim validations (third-party)
  • Briefing the Brand, Creative & Digital (BCD) team on new propositions to make sure they have what they need to deliver best-in-class creative execution (including packaging)
  • Create excitement internally and externally about your products.
  • Own the Jabra Elite & BlueParrott portfolio story & range step-up communications.
  • Lead sales enablement through the development of sales tools that support the selling process (eLearning, sell-in materials, competitor overviews etc..).
  • Development of sell-in material with quarterly updates published & delivered to the marketing/sales organization.
  • Delivery of product roadmap & portfolio presentations in retailer meetings, at tech & launch events and to journalists in liaison with PR (as product champion & evangelist)
  • Preparation & facilitation of Monthly Portfolio Call (Consumer)
  • PR spokesperson (product/technical)
  • Partnerships. Working with the Partnerships Manager to embed tech partnerships relevant to product story.

Key Profile Requirements:

  • Ability to craft complex tech into simple value propositions that resonate.
  • Outstanding communicator that can present with confidence and impact to both internal & external audiences.
  • Capacity to challenge/influence & an eagerness to take ownership of strategic projects.
  • Understanding of the Consumer Electronics industry a core requirement, with experience working with a CE brand or manufacturer. Experience of the sports tech segment desirable
  • Product marketing experience (global or regional) of minimum 5 years.
  • Creative mindset, with the ability to craft inspiring stories and make it come alive visually (via eLearning, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Curiosity about the WHY and the WHO, including the ability to re-evaluate existing beliefs and uncover the insights that lead to compelling propositions and product stories.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to network across functional boundaries and collaborate with others to get the job done.
  • A self-starter with who can hit the ground running, with lots of energy, drive and sense of urgency when needed.
  • Adaptable to change, with the ability to prioritize and keep a cool head in a fast-moving environment.
  • Flexible to occasional international travel, based on business need.
