job description
You will join Norlys' IT Shared Service Center, responsible for managing the company's internal IT platform. Currently comprising 9 infrastructure specialists and a leader who values respectful collaboration, the team prioritizes cutting-edge systems that meet stringent security and operational standards. You will work in an environment where motivation, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous improvement prevail. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are integral to ensuring high-quality service delivery throughout the company.
As a Datacenter Specialist in Norlys’ data centers, you will play a significant role in overseeing and maintaining their data centers. Norlys highly value deep technical knowledge and experience in project execution and process optimization, although alternative perspectives are welcome. If you are the right candidate, you will work together to ensure you are prepared for the role.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
-Data center technologies encompassing power (generator, UPS, switchboards, CTS) and cooling systems (pumps, free cooling, compressors, chillers)
-Regular vendor communication
-Soliciting bids and proposals
-Auditing and compliance adherence
-Executing projects and ensuring progress
-Contributing to future strategic initiatives
While an external firm will handle the overall monitoring and primary on-call responsibilities for the Data Centers, you will act as a secondary point of contact. Therefore in case of questions or operational issues, the external team will reach out to you or the other Data Center specialist.
Your main workplace will be in either Århus, Esbjerg, Silkeborg, or Aalborg, with occasional traveling to other locations.

Your background is not essential, but we expect you to have technical experience handling data centers. While we value diverse backgrounds, having experience in a similar position is considered advantageous.

You work in a structured and independent manner, capable of maintaining clarity amidst a diverse array of daily tasks. Handling continuous influxes of assignments and projects, the utmost priority in the role is meeting the business' needs and addressing their challenges. You excel in establishing order within a bustling, yet stimulating, environment that occasionally demands quick adaptation.
