Welcome to the Corporate EHS department
We work with global strategies within Environment, Health and Safety (EHS).

As some of Novonesis´ products are respiratory sensitizers, naturally one of the departments focus areas is our global enzyme safety program.

In your new role, you will be part of the Enzyme safety/Medical Centre team within Corporate EHS. The team consists of six employees, divided into a medical surveillance group and an Enzyme Safety group, you will be part of the latter.

You will be working on the part of the program that aims at prevention through safe working habits and air monitoring. We aim at providing an equally safe working environment at all our sites worldwide, so your role will be to ensure alignment at all our sites and support the regional EHS specialists.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:
Working on a program to enhance our employee’s safety. So, your work will directly impact the industrial health in our facilities.

In addition, to maintaining the foundation of the enzyme safety program, in the first couple of years your role will also include being part of a cross-organizational project to merge and optimize the enzyme safety programs from the two legacy companies founding Novonesis.

You will be:

• Providing expertise and advice in specific cases and on a strategic level.
• Part of developing and maintaining global procedures and training material.
• Having close collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.

Depending on your expertise, you will mainly be involved in:

• Exposure prevention - through creating awareness about safe working habits and ensuring compliance.
• Air monitoring – by developing and maintaining a global data analysis platform to evaluate workplace exposures.

To succeed you must hold:
The enzyme safety program follows principles of Industrial Hygiene (i.e., identifying, evaluating, and controlling workplace exposures), so experience with, or interest in, Industrial Hygiene or Occupational or Health & Safety background can be an advantage, but not a must.

The ideal candidate for the position, could have a wide range of backgrounds, what is important to succeed in the job is that you:

• Are a creative pragmatic problem solver with a positive and engaged perspective, and that you thrive with changing tasks, and is a keen learner.
• Have a solid scientific understanding, and possibly experience from, or knowledge of, laboratory work or biotech production.
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage, communicate and positively influence others across the entire workforce.
• Have strong IT skills is required (i.e., PPT presentations, data analysis as minimum in excel, more advanced is an advantage)
• Have excellent language skills. English spoken and written fluently is required (additional languages such as Danish and/or German, Chinese, Portuguese, or Spanish is favorable)
