Contract Manager

Main tasks/areas of responsibility: Contract Management within the Renewables Department. You will be responsible for managing EPC Contract and also supporting Procurement Leads in drafting and negotiating procurement contracts.
Main principal duties:
- Drafts, negotiates and manages procurement contracts and key documents (warranties, guarantees, bonds)
- Governs contract change management (variations, amendments, addendums, etc.),
- Handles claims management & contract close-out
- Collaborates with Procurement on ensuring alignment between client contract requirements and supply chain sourcing and contracting
- In collaboration with Legal, reviews all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures
- Ensures that contracts are executed in accordance with company guidelines and industry best practices and are in line with corporate goals, objectives
- Manages existing client contracts, including overseeing and monitoring;
- In collaboration with Project Manager, identifies, assesses, and manages contract risks, with a focus on commercial risks
- Coordinates with Cost Control and Finance to ensure correct cost accounting, invoicing, cash flow and cancellation of liabilities
- Prepares reports on the status of contracts for management
- Interface and coordinate with internal and external project team members and document communications between the company, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Ensure that the proper document templates are used for contract and change management
Professional competencies:
The successful candidate must fulfil the following criteria
- Min 3 - years of experience as a contract manager within the Procurement Department
- Min. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, or Law
- Fluency in English, min. C1
- Knowledge and experience within Contracts & Procurement, including competitive tendering, contract preparation, complex negotiations, and contract management
Optional requirements:
- Previous experience in Energy Sector and/or Oil&Gas industry
- Experience with FIDIC standard contracts
- Knowledge of German or Common Law
- Fluency in German or Chinese will be a huge asset
