We’re now looking for an experienced HR executive with the drive, passion and perspective needed to grow and develop a strong and global HR organization, and to support the achievement of ambitious business targets. Your mission
In this position, you’re responsible for developing and executing in the HR arena across the truly decentralized business and organization of Sandvik Group. You work as a trusted advisor on all People- and HR-related topics towards the leaders across the organization, including the CEO and the rest of the Group Executive Management team, as well as the Board and Remuneration Committee. You play an important part in developing and implementing the strategic HR direction to ensure continued business success in a rapidly changing world. Through your work, you ensure that Sandvik continues to attract, retain and develop the right talent and future leaders, as well as drive skills upgrades with regards to technological innovation.

You lead and develop a team of HR specialists at Group level, including Employee Experience, Comp & Ben, EHS and HR Technology, as well as cooperate closely with HR organizations at Business Area level (dotted-line). You build confidence through collaboration and stakeholder management across businesses and fully understand and appreciate the ways of working in a decentralized organization. You foster diversity, collaboration and psychological safety to develop high performing teams at all levels and are an ambassador and role model for the Sandvik culture and leadership.

This position is based in Stockholm and requires global travelling. You report to the President and CEO of Sandvik Group and are a key member of the Group Executive Management team, where you contribute widely across all topics and are an ambassador for the team’s dynamics and development.

Your profile
Requirements include a proven track record in HR executive roles within large, complex and global corporations. You’re a solid leader who successfully builds and leads highly motivated and performing teams. With vast international experience and a solid understanding of strategic and financial topics, you’re inter-culturally savvy, and an experienced contributor in management team settings. Additionally, you have a good understanding of true decentralized business models and organizations, as well as an understanding of Nordic governance and leadership culture.

Meriting factors include experience from industrial and/or technology businesses and a good understanding of the listed environment.

The ideal candidate possesses strong strategic and analytical capacity with a good ability to navigate complex and changing settings. You exhibit excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, are persistent and patient, and a mature, self-aware, and trustworthy communicator. A high level of curiosity and cross-cultural awareness, combined with a humble, down-to-earth approach and strong business acumen, is essential. It’s also key that you enjoy being present in the business, traveling and creating a visible presence throughout the organization, and have strong values and integrity, with the highest ethical standards. Independence and a detail-oriented but pragmatic decision-making style is also required.
