Continuous Improvement Specialist – 2 year contract

We’re seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our Business Excellence team within MPL EUR on a two year contract. This team will drive our goals by combining expertise in Customer Integration, Continuous Improvement, Data Management, and Advanced Problem Solving to optimize performance and service delivery for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
As a Continuous Improvement Specialist in our Business Excellence team, you’ll work with a team of four professionals and be part of a broader MPL team of 150+ colleagues.

Your role will be varied. You may be streamlining ways of working, mapping KPIs, assisting in customer implementations etc. You’ll need to be adaptable to the needs of the business but your primary responsibilities will include:

• Process Development: Strengthen and refine management systems and processes to ensure operational excellence across our business.
• Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive improvements, support customer implementation, and ensure alignment with stakeholders to enhance performance.
• Customer Collaboration: Engage with customers to assess improvement opportunities, quantify their value, and help implement tailored solutions.
• Project Leadership: Drive improvement and corrective projects, capturing and distributing key learnings across the organization.
• Operational Involvement: Occasionally participate in direct operations to understand challenges and apply Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies for organizational learning.
• New Business Integration: Manage the smooth onboarding of new customer businesses into Maersk’s global supply chain operations.

Key qualifications include:

• Operational Excellence Enthusiast: Deep understanding and passion for driving Operational Excellence and continuous improvement projects.
• Strong Communicator: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: You approach objections with a data-driven, solution-oriented mentality.
• Data Proficiency: Strong Excel skills (VBA is a plus but not required), with interest in Data Visualization tools like Power BI.
• Project Management Skills: Proven track record in driving projects, driving results through others, and influencing decision-makers in a matrix organization.
• Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to remain calm under pressure and thrive in a dynamic environment.
