Head of Internal Strategy & Execution in Group Risk Management at Danske Bank

We are seeking a seasoned leader to drive our Group Risk Management (GRM) department strategy Execution team. This role is instrumental in formulating and following up on our internal GRM strategy including financial aspirations as well as ensuring the successful execution and implementation of our department’s strategy through overall program management and specific project management.

About the Team
As the Head of GRM Execution, you will manage a team of six professionals, working as project managers and on performance management. You will collaborate with senior leaders and skilled professionals to achieve GRM's goal of becoming the top risk practice in the Nordics.

About the Position
As the Head of GRM Execution, your primary responsibilities will involve setting the direction and guiding the team in the following areas:

• Moderating the internal GRM strategy and its execution
• Develop, track and manage the execution programme while drive some of its initiatives
• Develop and track financial aspirations and budget of the GRM
• Leading the culture and people agenda, for example by running psychological safety and GenAI adoption initiatives across GRM
• A strategic and experienced leader who has an interest in understating the content

We are looking for a proactive leader with:

• Experience in leading a team and contributing in a senior leadership team
• A proven record of change management, strategy development, project management and working with executive leadership teams and board of directors
• Understanding of financials and performance management
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels and motivating the team

You should be a team player who thrives working across various areas of GRM, always striving for the best outcome for customers, society, investors, and employees. To succeed in this role, you need both a strategic and visionary mindset and the ability to understand and guide in the details.
