We’re now looking for a Mission Solutions Lead to join our Commercial team and drive new solutions in the domain of strategic sensing and Earth intelligence.
You’ll work at the front line of customer engagement, helping institutional and defence users define the right solutions to meet their mission needs — and bringing together satellites, sensing payloads, and data delivery to make it happen.
Key responsibilities:
As a Mission Solution Lead, you’ll play a key role in defining new solutions and supporting the commercial development of GomSpace EO offerings, working with defense, government, and commercial clients to meet their operational requirements across different earth observation bands and technmologies.
As the driving force behind customer-centric EO solutions, you will act as the key link between customers, business development, and technical teams, ensuring alignment with operational and market needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading market-facing activities for defining customer centric Earth observation and sensing solutions, translating user needs into solution requirements.
- Collaborate with national agencies, defense actors, and institutional stakeholders to understand their mission needs.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Business Development to refine solution concepts.
- Guide internal teams on how to combine GomSpace satellite capabilities with third-party technologies to deliver complete and relevant offerings
- Supporting pre-sales efforts by contributing to opportunity shaping and customer engagements.
- Representing GomSpace in customer meetings, EO events and communities.
- Staying updated on EO market trends within, surveillance, disaster monitoring, EO policy, and intelligence gathering.
What We Are Looking For:

We’re seeking a motivated individual with experience delivering complex, end-to-end solutions. The ideal candidate will have a combination of relevant commercial experience and significant insight into application of space technology, geospatial intelligence, or defense with a clear view of customer needs in these sectors.
We expect you to have:
- A background in space-based sensing, remote sensing, or operational Earth observation, particularly in domains like defense, disaster monitoring, land or infrastructure surveillance.
- Strong knowledge of EO markets, user operations, and how data is applied in real-world decision-making environments.
- Experience with optical, hyperspectral, infrared, or SAR technologies, ideally in defense, intelligence, or commercial applications.
- The ability to translate operational needs into solution requirements and lead solution shaping across business development, engineering, and customer dialogue.
- Experience working directly with customers — including requirements capture, solution customization, and technical discussions.
- Familiarity with satellite data services, analytics workflows, and the EO value chain.
- Understanding of how data from satellites is used in operational decision-making environments.
- Comfortable operating in a distributed, international team, with a high degree of self-drive and independence — especially when working remotely.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills for engaging both technical users and executive stakeholders.
- Experience with institutional or governmental stakeholders is a plus.
- Experience as a Product Manager, Solution Owner, Consultant, or EO end-user/operator is a plus.
