System Engineer

In this role, you will contribute to the development and optimization of software features and control strategies for the most energy-efficient reefer units on the market.

As our new System Engineer, you will work at the heart of our control and application software team, where you play a key role in improving the performance and reliability of our Star Cool and Star Freeze systems. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Designing and specifying new features for our application software and system-level control.
• Updating and maintaining functional specifications for the Star Cool controller software.
• Developing software for performance tests, operational validation, and customer field trials.
• Supporting cross-functional collaboration between in-house engineers and external suppliers.
• Handling specific application areas such as Controlled Atmosphere (CA) and sensor integration.
• Performing troubleshooting support and providing input to Service and Quality departments.

We are looking for are a systems thinker with an eye for detail, a mind for optimization, and a hunger to improve how things work. You enjoy collaboration and know how to turn complexity into clarity. Furthermore, you bring

• A degree in Mechatronic, Electrical, Control, or Software Engineering (B.Sc. or M.Sc.).
• Experience with control systems engineering, modeling and simulation (non-programming focused).
• Skills in estimation, control design, and system-level thinking.
• Experience with refrigeration systems is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Danish is a plus.
