As our new Business Controller, you will join our central Controlling team as well as our Performance Measurement team, each consisting of four specialists. You will focus on financial planning, controlling and analysis for all our global R&D functions.

In your role you will work closely with our global R&D organization ensuring financial accuracy and predictability of our projects from project start to project end. Furthermore, you will play a vital role in bridging the finance team and the R&D organization when it comes to process optimization, tool improvements etc.

The role will also be in close contact with our Product owners, when building the Business Case for new products. This entails a good understanding of the product revenue, product gross margins, project investments and general return-on-investment discussions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project cost controlling within the development function, including the generation of project cost estimates and forecasts.
• Prepare and present quarterly budgets and forecasts for the designated business unit.
• Conduct monthly follow-up of costs, time reporting, investments etc.
• Develop and establish benchmarks for product/project business cases.
• Manage the ongoing impairment testing of intangible development assets.

What you bring
To excel in this role, you should possess a strong analytical approach coupled with a great attention to detail, that will let you ensure financial predictability in R&D projects.
Moreover, you bring:

• 3-5 years of business controlling experience.
• Exceptional analytical abilities and adeptness in task prioritization.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, facilitating communication with both internal and external stakeholders. This includes engaging with R&D Project Managers, VP of Engineering and Projects, VP of Software, Finance Accounting team, and external auditors during annual audits.
• A M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in economics or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel. Familiarity with SAP and Power BI would be advantageous.
• Fluency in English.

What we offer
You will be part of a global controlling team focusing on the full supply chain from design, development, production, distribution, marketing, after sales service as well as admin functions. The team is working closely with the regional sales organization and the regional controlling teams, but also with a wide variety of international stakeholders.

The controlling team is working closely with our Performance Measurement team, that is focusing on generating insight into product sell-out, channel inventory with partners and other relevant insights to understand the performance of our business.
