Lead UX Designer

We are looking for a Lead UX designer whose years of experience with design strategy, design thinking, enterprise UX, and UX management, will enable them to make a difference in our business.

As a Lead UX designer, you will help develop and drive a UX strategy for the Fulfilled by Maersk UX team, a team overseeing enterprise and some customer-facing applications for logistics solutions like Warehousing, Depots, middle mile and last mile e-commerce.

This role will require you to work closely with an array of different stakeholders in Technology, Business and Operations as well as SMEs within the organisation. You willl assess, develop and drive a UX strategy supporting the team and the wider business objectives.

You will have the people management and HR responsibility of a global team of UX designers, ensuring the facilitation of their development and growth as designers.

This position reports to the Director of the UI Organization in Fulfilled by Maersk, department that includes the UI developers.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and passionately drive user experience (UX) strategy aligning with organisational & business objectives
• Establish pertinent metrics that are aligned with the UX strategy and engage in active measurement against them
• Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders to ensure the UX team is focusing on the appropriate tasks at the appropriate time
• Establish robust feedback systems to facilitate ongoing learning
• Take responsibility for the design process for all Fulfilled By Maersk products
• Collaborate with the design community within Maersk to ensure a unified and consistent user experience across all Maersk products
• Advocate for design thinking and a user-centric design approach
• Supervise a team of UX designers operating on a global scale

To do this job, you have the following qualifications:

• MA/MSc in HCI, Product Design, UX or a related field with 15+ years of experience with desktop experiences, product-, interaction-, and information design.
• Experience being a people manager
• Familiarity with design software like Sketch, Axure, and Figma
• A strong and clean visual design sense.
• Experience working in an agile development process and/or Iterative UX environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
• Ability to work independently with stakeholders while liaising and reviewing with fellow designers
• Proven ability to collaborate and communicate ideas and design rationale – verbally and written.
• Experience working with Enterprise UX is a plus
