Would you like to assist Novo Nordisk's Factory of the Future in achieving its breakthrough targets? If you are excited to shape this future and help us achieve our strategic goals, we invite you to join our Operational Excellence team as (Senior) Strategy Deployment Specialist. Apply today!

The position
This position is within Novo Nordisk’s Injectable Finished Production (IFP) factory in Hillerød. In a global environment of skyrocketing demand, it is imperative that we keep continuous improvement of safety and quality at the core of everything we do. On this foundation, we work to expand our capacity for the future while getting as much as we can out of our existing resources today. One of the tools we use to deploy this strategy is Hoshin Kanri, which we use to cascade from global breakthrough targets down to weekly shop floor KPIs.

In this role, you will own our site Hoshin Kanri, as well as the process for deploying our strategy and securing the necessary change management. In addition to comfort with data and technology, this role requires excellent stakeholder engagement, a vision for what we can achieve, and the drive to help us overcome these challenges. This will include developing the annual calendar of reflection on past performance and must-win battles, setting of annual objectives, and building of plans for the upcoming year. You will own the vision & strategy and work closely with experienced cLEAN® partners & stakeholders in the organization to make it happen.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Drive the strategic roadmap for the site, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, and creatively improving engagement and continuous improvement to meet performance targets. Develop, share, and coach department stakeholders in the systems we need to plan resources and improvement projects, and visualize performance in leading ways
  • Set direction for the site’s long-term improvement in key areas like quality, delivery, and cost, and communicate this vision clearly to all levels of the organization
  • Facilitate monthly meetings with the site’s senior leadership, including coaching and constructively challenging leaders to speak with data and adjust target or plans in line with performance
  • Working closely with the digitalization team to identify and visualize the necessary KPIs
  • Collaborate with cLEAN® partners and leaders to ensure communication and coaching within all departments aligns with the site-wide vision
  • Collaborate with leaders on the site and other stakeholders in the IFP network to continuously improve and elevate our performance

Qualifications
To be successful in this position, we imagine you have:

  • A degree in business management, business administration, industrial engineering, operations management or related field with 10+ years of experience in process improvement, consulting, strategy deployment or change management
  • Strong management toolbox and potential previous experience in consultancy. Passion for clear communication and comfort with exposure to senior leaders
  • Practical experience in utilizing Lean tools such as Hoshin Kanri and value stream mapping
  • Experience building and deploying a strategy across multiple business functions and organizational levels, including setting targets and managing stakeholders
  • A strong track record successfully managing complex projects and coordinating resources through informal lines of reporting
  • Comfort working independently under short deadlines and agility working around the constraints in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Personally, you are an outgoing individual who brings great energy and a can-do attitude to any situation. You enjoy taking up challenges and are motivated by ambitious targets. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where tasks and priorities can change in accordance with business needs. You naturally build trust with your stakeholders, and you like to drive and execute projects and various different tasks.

About the department
You will be a part of the Operational Excellence department, reporting to its senior manager. This department combines cLEAN, Digitalization, Training, and other site-level specialist individual contributors. We are only about 18 months old as a department, but our teams have been a part of the site for much longer, and we’re constantly looking for ways to come together, united by our drive to help the whole site.
