At Bavarian Nordic Berna, the Swiss affiliate there are - beside manufacturing activities – professionals in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supply Chain and Regulatory affairs working. On the Swiss site in Thörishaus / Bern there are approx. 160 dedicated and committed professionals working locally and globally.

For the Supply Chain Department, we are looking for a motivated individual with can-do qualities and commercial and project experience for the Purchasing department at the Bern site. This position is a key function and interacts with the departments, Production, Quality, Regulatory, Planning, Logistics/Warehouse, Project Management and Finance.

To fill this important position, we are looking for a

Specialist Procurement 100% (f/m/d)
The main tasks are:

• Negotiate pricing and conditions with suppliers
• Manage the day-to-day business with suppliers
• Be responsible of accuracy of procurement related transactional data
• Actively contribute to the improvement of Bavarian Nordic Berna's quality system, including continuous review and further development of processes, creation and adaptation of work instructions and procedures
• Manage GMP events (CAPAs, Change Controls, Deviations)
• Ensure the agreed service level with internal stakeholders
• Manage Material and supplier master data
• Ensure purchasing compliance in the day-to-day operational transactions
• Being the Procurement SME for any collaboration in local and global projects

Qualification and Experience:

• Ideally bachelor degree, Commercial Maturity or equivalent
• 10 years of experience in Procurement, preferably in a pharmaceutical company
• Basic GMP knowledge is preferred
• Good project management skills and experience
• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC (MM, MDM), Microsoft Dynamics, or other ERP Systems
• Strong MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word)
• Fluent in German and English, any other language is a plus
• Open, communicative, and constructive work attitude with can-do mentality
