Global Product Manager, commercial vacuum cleaners

Nilfisk



The position is based at Nilfisk in Hadsund in Denmark within a team of other global product managers handling Nilfisk’s portfolio of high-pressure washers and vacuum cleaners.

The position will have responsibility for backpack and upright vacuum cleaners within Nilfisk line of commercial vacuum cleaners and will be working with the 3 sales regions within Nilfisk. This position will have a close cooperation with Nilfisk’s R&D centre in China.

The position is reporting to VP product management Vac & HPW Esben Graff.

Execute the portfolio strategy and create great customer value:

  • A driver for this position is to develop and maintain an excellent portfolio of product platforms and execute and give input the portfolio strategy to meet defined business goals.
  • Create the highest customer value by detecting, analysing, and transferring customer needs into product requirements and value propositions for both existing portfolio and new product development.

Further, the position includes, but are not limited to:

  • Work across a wide range of disciplines – e.g., portfolio planning and project execution with R&D and Marketing, product strategy and launch planning, innovation, and portfolio roadmap with related strategic initiatives.
  • Manage product portfolio and lifecycle management within own product category and segment to reach business targets – e.g., define and maintain business cases, new variant creation, manage in-/out-phasing of products and market communication.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio for private label customers.
  • provide expertise on products and solutions to Sales and Marketing team, and support in preparation of technical and marketing documents.
  • collect market research and customer insights to examine and formulate customer pain points into new solutions, features, and benefits.

We value the experience you bring

To succeed in this role we imagine that you have a couple of years of experience within product development, product sales or product management in an international company. Ideally, you have worked with a technical and physical product in B-2-B, and you have interest in diving into the details of products. The ability to handle many tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus and a positive attitude also in times of heavy workload. Furthermore, the ability to balance working hands-on to execute and deliver on your own projects as well as being able to think long-term to establish the future strategies and plans for growth. A technical commercial mindset is beneficial in this role, as well as being an analytical problem-solver. here will be some travelling, since this is a global role therefore the capability and willingness to travel as needed (10-20 days per year).

What happens with your application?

We will look at your application and contact you for a phone interview if relevant. Hereafter, if there is a mutual match, we will invite you to an interview with the hiring manager and potentially a colleague. The 2nd interview will be with an HR representative together with the manager where the focus is on a feedback session on a personality assessment and aptitude test. In some processes, we add a case instead of an aptitude test. The 3rd and final round of interviews will be an informal interview with the manager’s manager.
