Head of Sustainability, Tietoevry Banking

Tietoevry Banking, the leading financial services software and solution partner in the Nordics, is currently looking for a Head of Sustainability.

We offer modular, pre-integrated banking as a service solutions and market-leading software for core banking, payments, credit, cards, financial fraud, and wealth management. With our scale, expertise, and specialization, we empower financial institutions to enhance agility, efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a long-term sustainability agenda/plan for the organization.
• Coordinate and support subject matter experts (SMEs) in various areas of sustainability.
• Ensure subject matter expertise in environmental impact, climate impact, GHG emission calculations, circularity, human rights, and labor rights.
• Collaborate with other SMEs to cover topics like ethical conduct, corruption, diversity, equity and inclusion, responsible sourcing/supply chain management, cybersecurity and privacy, and responsible AI.
• Oversee and manage sustainability reporting and statements.
• Monitor and track relevant sustainability-related regulations with the legal team.
• Support the business in compliance requirements and offer sustainability expertise.
• Assist with customer inquiries, including RFPs.
• Distribute relevant information to the Sustainability Steering Group And GEM, BoD etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in sustainability or related field.
• 5-10 years of broad experience in sustainability.
• Familiarity with impacts, risks, and opportunities in the sustainability sector.
• Strong knowledge in environmental impact, GHG emission calculations, circularity, human rights, and labor rights.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to create and execute long-term sustainability plans.
• Experience with sustainability reporting and regulatory frameworks such as current EU directives and reporting requirements.
• Advantageous to have knowledge of responsible sourcing, cybersecurity, and privacy.
• Professional certifications or memberships in sustainability are a plus.
