About the role
We are currently looking for a “Head of Ground Operations” (NP - Nominated Postholder) to be responsible for the operational control and supervision of all cargo handling related activities in MAC including fueling and deicing of aircraft. This in close collaboration with Nominated Persons and teams across our organization as well as local and international Civil Aviation Authorities as required.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Ground Operations to lead and ensure a sustained, compliant high level of operational quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. Teamwork and collaboration are key elements in your approach to work, teams, and colleagues. Pragmatic problem-solving is part of your mentality, and you find great pleasure in overcoming various obstacles while following through on initiatives. Needless to say, you have an open mind and a respectful approach to all your colleagues and stakeholders.

As the Head of Ground Ops. at MAC, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with rules and regulations set forth by the Danish CAA (“Trafikstyrelsen”) and EASA Ops.
• Monitoring, Evaluation, and Coordination: Continuously monitor, evaluate, and develop all ground handling activities while closely coordinating with Ground Ops Cargo Specialists and Load Masters.
• Continuous Improvement: Provide training, guidance, and supervision of operation to ensure efficient and effective cargo operations.
• Documentation: Ensure ground handling documentation adheres to regulatory requirements including waybills, customs forms, and export/import permits and more.
• Stakeholder Management: Interact with and keep relevant stakeholders (e.g. sales,, OCC Ground Control, etc.) informed of operational activities while addressing queries and resolving ad hoc issues.
• Reporting: Prepare reports and provide regular updates to management, highlighting key performance indicators, and suggested improvements.
• Performance Management: Drive operational excellence through performance management and development of direct reports.

Please be aware that due to the nature of this role, we anticipate that you will spend a lot of time (up to 80%) travelling and visiting our various local and international stations.

We are looking for

• Previous NP experience and extensive experience (5-10 years) within ground handling and safety and security management.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, particularly EASA.
• Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Proactive and detail oriented.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English
• Valid EU work permit
