The position
As a Finance Integration Lead in R&D Finance, you will be:

• Spearheading the financial integration efforts for company acquisitions and drive assessments and recommendations during due diligences of M&A opportunities
• Acting as a senior sparring partner for the colleagues within R&D Finance and towards the R&D Finance management team during Due Diligences and integrations
• Acting as a one point-of-entry for a large variety of stakeholders across the business and the various finance functions
• Driving forward change management projects with the finance function in the acquired companies
• Designing the post-merger operating model and the best practice integration approaches for Finance, in close collaboration with a colleague from Global Business Services (GBS) hub
• Managing the continued development of financial models used during due diligence

You will further be expected to invest time in familiarising yourself with the Novo Nordisk value chain, the external environment we operate within and the R&D organisation, using your strong business understanding. Additionally, the job will require travelling to visit the acquired companies to build relations with new colleagues and partners.

Qualifications
You hold a master’s degree within Business, Economics, Finance or Life Science and you have at least ~3 years of relevant work experience, with additional experience being a large plus. Furthermore, to be successful in this role:

• You have a passion for working with integrations, business development and change management and thrive when having to solve complex problems
• Ideally, you have taken part of driving forward integration projects before
• You have a solid project management and financial toolbox. In addition, having experience within several different financial disciplines (FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Accounting, SAP etc.) is a plus, but not a must-have
• You have strong stakeholder management skills and are good at building relations and you are curious of nature
• You have a track record of driving projects on your own and have experience with managing larger project teams and guiding junior colleagues

On a personal level, you possess exceptional problem-solving skills and structured mindset, which enables you to maintain organisational order in a highly dynamic and fast-evolving environment.

About the department
The R&D Finance Business Development, Insights & Systems department is driving and coordinating the R&D Finance contribution to due diligence and integration processes for all business development activities. It is a highly engaged young and international working environment, that offers steep learning curves and high degree of responsibility. Additionally, the team has responsibility for the R&D long term financial forecasting and provides input to asset valuations and therapy area strategies. The team develops and manages R&D Finance systems and works as anchor point for business intelligence activities within R&D Finance.
