We are looking for our new Global Performance Finance Director for Global Office in Copenhagen
The purpose of the Global Commercial Finance function is to provide strategic advice and challenge the Chief Commercial Office (CCO) organization to help drive and impact business performance. The team is forward looking and creates value by improving the quality of decisions, which are made through analysis, insights and influence/challenge.

Global Commercial Finance works closely with Cluster FDs (and GMs) and their teams to drive global priorities (retail excellence, network strategy, store management etc.).

Global Commercial Finance has a strong role in driving best practice across clusters, creating a coordinated and aligned effort to grow the top and bottom line. The function plays a strong role in the budget process and acts as a facilitating interface in enabling reliable forecasting and actionable insights through collaboration with Clusters and Group FP&A.

Performance Management Finance leads reporting & planning processes for the commercial organization that allow performance dialog between the clusters and executive management. The function ensures that the processes provide relevant insights and drive decision making that impacts performance and grows top and bottom line. With a central place among Cluster Finance, Global Commercial Finance and the Commercial Organization, the function plays critical role in assessing global Risks & Opportunities.

Performance Management Finance drives standardization of analytical methodologies and narrative across Global and Cluster Finance organization. The function is expected to adapt methodologies to everchanging requirements from the business and drive finance transformation agenda to utilize new technologies and minimize non-value-adding activities.

Performance Management Finance consolidates inputs from the clusters and ensures quality reporting, planning and narrative in the Cluster & Global processes. The function is expected to thoroughly understand cluster inputs and partner with the cluster teams to ensure good quality and clear narrative. In addition to consolidation of cluster inputs, the function performs top down analysis and provides recommendations relevant for the Global Commercial Organization.

The Performance Finance Director is expected to be an active member of the Global Finance Forum and contribute to building and maintaining a true global Finance organization in Pandora. Direct management responsibility includes 2-3 direct reports (Performance Finance Managers). In addition to direct reports, Performance Management Finance team includes 3-4 Specialists / Student assistants. The Performance Finance Director is expected to lead people & talent agenda and build strong team of proactive business partners.

Further, the Performance Finance Director will:

  • Understand the performance to drive and influence delivery of the commercial result for “Total Clusters”, and share this knowledge and insights with senior leadership to improve performance
  • Provide actionable insight to key forums based on risk, opportunity and sensitivity analysis
  • Collaborate with Cluster Finance and Global Commercial Finance teams with performance improvement interventions
  • Lead long-term planning process for the commercial organization. Collaborate with the stakeholders across the organization (FP&A, Business Development, D&T, Clusters)
  • Lead Budgeting and Forecasting processes across the commercial organization
  • Drive and provide recommendation for the target setting process and align budgeting and forecasting deliverables and timelines with Group FP&A
  • Deliver Total Clusters insight and identifies key drivers of global business performance, based on inputs from the clusters and global stakeholders
  • Provide ongoing coaching to strengthen the Global Commercial Finance team’s performance towards serving stakeholders’ needs
  • Drive standardization of methodologies and narrative, provide frequent feedback to the clusters and share best practices

You will report to the SVP of Global Commercial Finance. International travelling is to be expected.

What we hope to see in your profile

  • +8 years of experience in a senior business finance role with a track record of driving performance, insight and growing business value
  • Experience of working in a scale organisation influencing business leaders and contributing to development and delivery of business strategy
  • Have hands on experience of managing business finance with oversight of risk, controls and accounting judgement.
  • Experience from retail, fashion or FMCG industry
  • Fluent in English – verbally and written
  • Ability to lead with courage, empowerment, ambition, and accountability
  • High energy and ability to take strong personal ownership in driving best practices globally
  • Understand strategic development and business priorities
  • Stakeholder management, business partnering and influencing
  • Strong and effective communication – verbally and written
  • Proven people management and development skills
  • Proven change management skills
  • Willing to travel regularly and an international mindset
  • A mindset of “One Global Team” – understands the importance of acting as an integral part of the Global Commercial Finance leadership, and contribute to collective improvement of Global Finance
