The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Scientist to join our team and contribute to expanding our excellence in GLP-1 research in the fields of cardiovascular disease, and the immune system. The ideal candidate will have expertise in GLP-1 and human omics data, and will be responsible for developing new scientific, clinical, and regulatory strategies for exploring novel uses of GLP-1.

Main responsibilities will include:

With substantial clinical and basic science knowledge about GLP-1, we are now looking to expand our research to unlock new potential and drive further change. It is an exciting time because we have so many data from our own clinical trials.

Qualifications
You are a scientist and hold a PhD degree with a focus on human biology. You possess several years of experience post PhD within an academic, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environment in the field of cardiovascular disease, and the immune system. You have a team-oriented personality with a high degree of flexibility and cross-cultural awareness and can achieve goals in constructive collaboration with multiple global stakeholders. Furthermore, you have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present research findings effectively.

About the department
You will be joining a team led by long-term GLP-1 innovator and scientist Lotte Bjerre Knudsen, Chief Scientific Advisor for Research and Early Development, who has worked to invent and advance GLP-1 based transformational treatments for decades. The GLP-1 biology is relevant for many diseases including diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular and kidney disease, and we want to take it to next stage by expanding our knowledge based on human data and create new ideas for the benefit of patients.
