You will play an important role in:
- Achieving our ambitious emission and decarbonization targets.
- Ensuring that our engines have state of the art emission reduction systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Execute SCR development activities.
- Driving and initiating new SCR research activities.
- Provide expert SCR guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting development of other technologies within the department, such as EGR.
A typical week may include SCR development activities for new engine types running on low or zero carbon fuels. You may also be reviewing results from SCR suppliers and guide with recommendations. You will meet both with colleagues from your own department and with colleagues from other departments working with SCR to align status, issues and share experience.
Some travel is to be expected in this role, but not more than 30 days per year. This includes catalyst research activities typically taking place in Augsburg Germany, and project development activities often being validated on test bed at our licensees located in far East Asia.
We imagine that you: Are a dedicated and curious team player with a positive mindset and relevant skills such as:
- Relevant engineering background or equivalent education specialized within emission reduction / combustion engines / process chemistry.
- Work experience from engine aftertreatment, power plant aftertreatment or similar applications utilizing SCR for NOx reduction.
- Strong technical expertise and proficient technical writing abilities
- Comfortable leading and contributing to projects at different stages.
- Experience from waste heat recovery, carbon capture or wet scrubbers considered a benefit.
Welcome to the Technology Development and Emission department We are a team of 8 colleagues with various fields of specialization. We focus both on further development of the current solutions and innovation/research into future possibilities. The team is responsible for NOx emission reduction technologies like SCR and EGR, but also waste heat recovery, carbon capture, fuel supply systems and other technologies related to the engine. All work is carried out in close collaboration with other departments within the organization.
