Programme Manager – Lead large development programme in our Custom Application Development Area
Can you manage the delivery of complex and business critical applications to our clients? Do you have experience with overseeing complex development projects, leading project managers and development teams and deliver critical applications from defining the requirements to handover to Operations? Then you might be the IT Programme Manager that we are looking for to join our Custom Application Development area.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Programme Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of a complex IT programme for one of our biggest clients within the pharmaceutical area. You will leverage your programme management toolbox, your technical expertise and your leadership skills to align strategies, manage resources, and ensure that programme objectives and projects are met on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Your responsibilities as an IT Programme Manager:
As our new IT Programme Manager, you will play a vital role in relation to our clients and internally at NNIT. The role is versatile and challenging with a large degree of responsibility and independence, as you will manage a complex IT programme and oversee execution of projects on all levels.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead and manage a large-scale IT programme, ensuring alignment with client goals and business outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to continuously define programme scope, objectives, and success criteria.
• Develop and manage detailed programme plans, timelines, and budgets together with the client.
• Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams, including project managers, technical leads, and vendors.
• Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall approaches as applicable.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that could impact programme success.
• Provide regular updates and reports to clients, senior leadership, and other stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance programme delivery efficiency.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.

Your qualifications and experience:
You excel in the project management area and have over the years built a sound and strong personal capability working with complex custom development projects. As a person you possess the necessary empathy that gets your project managers and teams to perform their utmost and at the same time you are capable of cutting through in challenging situations.
Your experience and communication skills enable you to handle your senior management stakeholders and influence central decision makers internally as well as with the clients.
Working individually, structured and navigating in complex deliveries and major scopes comes naturally, and you are used to taking ownership with a large positive drive while securing project results through personal leadership in close cooperation with other peers and project members.
We look for the following qualifications:
• A relevant bachelor or master’s degree
• A strong project management tool kit (preferably project management certification like Prince2, PMP or equivalent)
• 5+ years of Programme management experience managing complex IT application development projects, preferably within an IT vendor/provider
• 3+ years of experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe
• Experience managing project managers and delivery teams.
• Excellent communications skills in both Danish and English, written and orally.
• Preferably experience with international delivery teams.
