The position
The Policy Partnerships Lead for Cardiovascular Health will play a crucial role in shaping and advancing Novo Nordisk's public affairs strategy and objectives related to cardiovascular health. This position involves developing and managing strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders, including medical societies, academia, patient organizations, policymakers, and other relevant entities, to drive advocacy and ensure policies that improve cardiovascular health outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and develop the established relationships, partnerships and alliances between Novo Nordisk and key external stakeholders within the cardiovascular health community that are focusing on driving policy change on EU and international level.
  • Explore new potential partnering opportunities to drive advocacy and political priotisation of cardiovascular health.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally in Novo Nordisk to align public affairs activities with broader organizational objectives e.g. across obesity, diabetes, liver disease etc.
  • Gathering external insights and trends through engagements and translating this into strategic recommendations to the public affairs team, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership.
  • Represent Novo Nordisk in relevant industry forums, conferences, and meetings to promote cardiovascular health policy initiatives in line with the interest of Novo Nordisk.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other communication materials to support advocacy efforts.
  • Driving and leading execution of events in collaboration with external partners at prioritised and relevant platforms such as World Health Assembly, World Economic Forum, World Heart Summit etc.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, the ideal person will possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in public health, political science or a related field. Other key experiences and skills required are as follows:

  • Proven experience in public affairs, policy advocacy, or a related field, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience working with organisations in multi-stakeholder coalitions, alliances, or partnerships in a policy setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of global health policy frameworks and regulatory environments with an understanding of cardiovascular health policy and the broader healthcare landscape is beneficial.
  • Professional fluency in both written and verbal English is essential, and fluency in multiple languages is advantageous.
