Let’s talk about the role
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to help us build and expand our Digital Twin global system(s). You will be part of scaling proven technologies/use cases to our global production.
As a Product Owner you will have the chance to:
- Drive the product vision for our digital twin products
- Develop, prioritize, and maintain a product/deployment roadmap and backlog for our digital twin solutions
- Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders from the production and across DD&IT, to scale and maintain the products
- Manage system configurations and maintenance activities, working closely with stakeholders to understand key drivers for deliveries and enable ongoing prioritization
- collaborate with Business Owners and Product Managers to establish the product vision and drive its execution with the Agile Team
Our production facilities are located globally, including Denmark, USA, France, Brazil, and more. Hence, you engage with diverse cultures, people, and time zones.
Moreover, this role provides the opportunity to travel to our global sites, with approximately 5% of the position involving travel.
Candidate profile
As our new Product Owner you could shape the future of manufacturing bringing your expertise in digital twin technology and ambition to spearhead development of a global ecosystem.
To succeed in this role, we imagine you:
- Have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role
- Demonstrate expertise in Digital Twin leading technologies like Siemens, Rockwell
- You have experience from implementing and operating digital twin systems/platforms in manufacturing, a background from pharma or other regulated industries is a plus, but not a requirement
- You have experience in controlling budget for implementation and operations
- Have strong stakeholder and vendor management skills and can engage in collaborative efforts within a global team, navigating diverse cultural backgrounds and time zones seamlessly
- Construct and prioritize product roadmaps, while effectively managing team backlog. You can juggle vendors, OEM supplier, line of business and other DD&IT areas to deliver according to business value
- Demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration skills for effective engagement with various stakeholders. Additionally, showcase strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

About the department
We are on a transformative journey in maturing our Center of Excellence (CoE), and our portfolio of products include SCADA (Ignition), MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to OT integrations (Line Optimizer and Ignition), Serialisation, Octoplant and other OT management tools. In 2025 we will also include Digital Twin product(s) to our growing portfolio.

The team is primarily located in our newly renovated and established DD&IT campus in Ballerup (Greater Copenhagen area), Denmark.
Digital, Data & IT Product Supply, Production is anchored within the DD& IT organization and has approximately 4.000 employees based in Denmark, India, US, China, France, and Brazil. The strategic objective of the unit is to be the IT partner for the business, ensuring that we provide the IT solutions and support the Novo Nordisk production solution needs worldwide.
