You will take a key role in developing our new, exciting endoscopic systems and secure the future success of Ambu as well as to the benefit for our users. You will become part of a dynamic, professional, and global team, working on projects at both our headquarters in Ballerup Denmark, as well as our development site in Augsburg, Germany and Penang, Malaysia.

You will be joining the Global Electronics team consisting of 14 ambitious Engineers with a broad skillset.

You will report to the head of Electronics, Software and Electronics. This position can be based out of either Ballerup, Penang or Augsburg.

Key responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:

• Conception, development and refinement of mechanical design solutions for components and assemblies
• Optimization of existing designs, including corresponding documentation for Ambu's extensive product portfolio in endoscopic systems
• Responsible for mechanical design and construction of functionalities, parts, and assemblies, ensuring quality aspects for robust and safe medical products
• Ensuring that components or products can be produced in large quantities, fulfills the function, and remain within the defined cost framework
• Documentation of parts lists and component specifications in accordance with FDA regulations and ISO certification, including FMEAs, risk assessments, and tolerance analyses
• Trustful collaboration with internal and external partners, working in international development teams from Denmark, Germany, Malaysia, and Taiwan, as well as with external partners, users, doctors, knowledge centers, and suppliers
• Life cycle management, including complaint handling, CAPA, and maintenance of our released endoscopic systems

Suggested candidate profile
Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are, however, likely to succeed in this position if you have:

• Successful completion of a technical or scientific course of study that provides a broad technical understanding, such as Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
• At least 5 years of professional experience in product development and design of safety-critical products, preferably in the areas of re-useable medical electrical products
• Proficiency in using CAD system (e.g. Solidworks, Creo, Catia), with a preference for experience with Inventor
• Relevant experience in the design of high volume mechanical and plastic components, particularly in injection molding, extrusion, and tool design
• Experience working, documenting, and testing according to FDA and ISO requirements
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Strong team and communication skills, with the initiative and courage to take on technical management in development project groups
• Willingness to travel internationally
