About the role
On behalf of our client, Academic Work is looking for a proactive and analytical IT Project Assistant to support internal data improvements and assist managers in optimizing processes. In this role, you will work across departments in a global team, ensuring high-quality reporting and streamlined operations. Your primary focus will be on analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and providing valuable support to management. Strong communication skills and a structured, problem-solving approach are essential, as you will play a key role in conveying complex information in a clear and professional manner. While experience with IT projects is an advantage, the most important qualities we seek are proactivity, analytical thinking, and the ability to deliver structured support.

Work tasks

  • Identify mainframe access group owners across the whole of the clients Business and Technology areas
  • Gather and prepare complex technical information related to mainframe access groups
  • Engage with various stakeholders (managers, business representatives, technical experts, SMEs) to inform of the solution and gain support
  • Ensure updates comply with IAM guidelines and standards, providing active support and leading meetings to gather feedback and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accuracy in reporting tasks in JIRA and Excel, proactively following up to ensure timely completion and identifying areas for process streamlining and improvement

We are looking for

  • Someone with experience in working in an Agile environment or in a similar role.
  • Someone with basic knowledge of IBM Mainframe, Kanban, and JIRA.
  • Someone with basic to proficient skills in Excel.
  • Someone with strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Someone with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Someone based in Denmark, ideally near the Greater Copenhagen area.

It is meritorious if you have

  • Experience in IT support or similar fields.
  • Strong written and spoken Danish skills.

Knowledge can be gained through education, experience or self-taught.
