Set the course for our sustainability agenda at COWI
As Head of Discipline within Building and Industry, Sustainability, you will be engaged in guiding a skilled team of approximately 20 specialists. Your leadership will affect the future of sustainable energy solutions, ensuring technical high standards, encouraging a culture of engagement, and managing projects to effective completion.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Contributing and implementing strategies, action plans, and initiatives that promote business growth and outstanding results for the sustainability discipline.
- Taking on a pivotal role as a senior specialist, project manager or discipline lead on key projects, ensuring high-quality execution.
- Managing the discipline group beyond project work by encouraging professional growth, maintaining a clear overview of employees’ skills, and ensuring effective staffing including recruitment, promotions, and optimizing team capacity.
- Providing coaching and mentorship to team members, developing them through individualized plans and constructive feedback.
What we are looking for?
We are searching for someone who understand the importance of balancing business needs with employee development, and you create an environment where team members are valued and motivated.
On top of that, you will have:
- A degree in engineering, coupled with substantial experience in managing or delivering sustainable projects.
- Strong business acumen, and experience in the construction industry or as a contractor would be a valuable addition.
- Comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge in the sustainability sector, both within Denmark and on an international scale.
- Preferably, a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
- As a person you are characterized as robust, engaging and strategic.
- Effective communication abilities in both Danish and English, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
