Senior-Principal Cloud Engineer – Microservices and DevOps

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of microservices infrastructures at scale, leveraging AWS cloud technologies. Your expertise in DevOps practices, including Docker and Kubernetes, will be instrumental in enhancing our cloud capabilities.

You will join a leading, global provider of video management software and be part of our innovative and entrepreneurial development team. Our mission is to build a suite of services surrounding a responsible video data library leveraging compliant, quality and ethically sourced video data. Your Responsibilities:

• Architect Cloud Solutions: Together with our Principal Cloud Engineer, design and deploy scalable microservices architectures on AWS, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implement DevOps Practices: Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration and automation of deployment pipelines.
• Enhance Infrastructure Efficiency: Optimize data ingestion and processing workflows to handle large-scale video data using cloud-native services.
• Building a multi-tenant SaaS platform: with a secure tenant registration flow, API management, and analytics, ensuring tenant isolation and scalability
• Ensure Reliability and Performance: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus) to maintain optimal performance and reliability of cloud services.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive cloud initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Staying up to date with the latest trends in AI technologies, microservices, and API development to keep the platform competitive and innovative.

Are you the right candidate? Technical Skills:

• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Microservices Experience: Proven track record in designing and implementing loosely-coupled, cloud-native microservices architectures, preferably in a SaaS setup.
• Proficiency in defining and building RESTful APIs for video and text data input/output. Familiarity with API security, including OAuth, JWT, and API token generation.
• Video technology: Experience with video processing technologies (e.g., FFmpeg, WebRTC, RTSP).
• DevOps Skills: Hands-on experience with automation tools and practices, ensuring efficient deployment and scaling of cloud applications.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and microservices applications.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global team environment.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in microservices development, API design, and cloud-based application deployment.
• Proven track record of delivering AI services or similar high-performance, data-driven platforms.
