You will play an important role in: As Area Sales Manager, your focus will be to create sales of components for our engines to the licensees who are building them. These licensees are large shipbuilding companies located in China.
You succeed in this endeavor through close relationships, by understanding their business and your thorough analysis of client buying behavior.
You will be part of a successful team working with all our licensees and they look forward to you joining. Your will here be working with:
- Sales of engine components for the marine industry
- Tactical sales and the search of new business ventures – together with your colleagues
- Supporting the sales entities with market analysis, business plans and problem solving
- Client meetings and negotiations together with your colleagues
- Close dialogue with our local sales office in China
- Daily liaison with the Engineering, Sourcing and Supply Chain teams in Copenhagen
You can expect some travel to China on business trips with your colleagues to meet with clients 5-15 days a year.
We imagine that you:
- Have a structured mind and are eager to learn
- Have previous experience with technical sales on the B2B market (an advantage but not mandatory to succeed in this role)

It is important that you thrive in a job where you are solely responsible for planning and controlling your work. This requires a certain level of structure and a sense of perspective, using your time right. Our quotes, orders and invoices are all managed in SAP. Previous experience with this would be a plus.
On a more professional note, we expect that our new colleague:
- Has worked with international sales for at least 5 years
- Speaks and writes English fluently
- Has experience from working in a large international organization, enabling you to navigate in a complex world of numerous agendas and stakeholders
- Experience working with China and Chinese culture will be an advantage but not a requirement
Welcome to License Sales and Service Department On a daily basis, you will be an active part of the growing License Sales and Service team. We service our licensees in Asia. The team currently consists of 20+ people, with the Component Sales team handling all sales and to our Licensees.
