Your role and responsibilities
Be part of ABB in Mölndal and work in a team that is dedicated to creating a future where innovative digital technologies allow greater access to cleaner energy. ABB is a global leader in industrial robot software, offering robust tools for 3D simulation, offline programming, and virtual commissioning. The software platform, RobotStudio, is one of the most widely used offline programming tools for robotics. It provides numerous benefits, including reduced risk, faster start-up times, shorter change-over periods, and enhanced productivity. Join our R&D team in Mölndal and collaborate with dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues across all phases of the RobotStudio development. You'll work in an agile scrum team utilizing Microsoft .NET technologies. As a software developer at ABB Robotics R&D, you'll experience an exciting and varied role, with a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation tools for robot programming based on cutting-edge technologies. Background and Skills Your will contribute with your passion for software development and valuable experience in creating innovative commercial desktop applications. You bring +5 years of experience and in-depth knowledge in C#/.NET development. •You likely hold a MSc. or BSc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field, with a focus on software development. •You have a keen interest in robotics, intuitive programming, advanced simulation, and digital twin concepts. •You are a dedicated team player who inspires others and contributes to collective success. •You enjoy delving into technical details while maintaining a broader, long-term perspective. •You understand the possibilities and limitations of various solutions, prioritize effectively, and communicate successfully. •Proficiency in C# with the ability to develop robust applications. •Knowledge in C++ is a bonus, but not a requirement.

Qualifications for the role

• Extensive understanding of .NET framework to build scalable and efficient software.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• You are fluent in English, and if you don't speak Swedish yet, you have a genuine interest in learning and are probably already making progress.
• You are able to primarily work on-site at ABB in Mölndal, Sweden.
