The Core Network Specialist/Architect is responsible for building, operating and maintaining the daytoday operation of the data networks. These duties include but are not limited to, configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and software related platforms. The network engineer works closely with other technical members in the technology department, both on building, optimizing and troubleshooting the infrastructure. Besides the internal projects, the network engineer is also closely engaged in customer deliveries; but in implementation and troubleshooting. This role includes participating in oncall duties after normal opening hours.
Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, improve and operate data networks
- Responsible for updating and maintaining documentation
- Troubleshoot data network issues
- Implementation of new network devices and/or services
- Restore faulty network hardware components
- Supporting daily operations and activities
- Consulted on establishing root causes of network disruptions
- Participate in on call-duties
Qualifications
- Minimum 5years of hands-on experience preferable with an ISP
- CCNP SP/RS or CCIE DC/SP is preferable
- Able to write and maintain complex network documentation
- Analytical Do’er and problem solving skills
- Self starter and able to work independently but comfortable as well working in a team
