Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investments? If so, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is currently looking for an Associate to join our Investor Relations & Business Development team (IR & BD) based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Team
You will become a part of IR & BD. The IR & BD team in CIP covers all interactions with investors and business development activities from product and fund development to fundraising and investor engagement. As such, the team is involved in all aspects of the investor journey.
The IR & BD team is an international and diverse team consisting of ~60 professionals with 15 different nationalities and from various professional backgrounds, including investment banking, management consulting, and law firms, based in 5 offices across Europe, North America, and Asia.
The role
As our new BI & Reporting Associate you will support the IR & BD team by conducting data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting activities and initiatives. You will help produce, manage and evolve the various reports produced to help ‘run the business’ and make informed decision making. Furthermore, this will include any systems and applications used (e.g. CRM; Power BI or equivalent; underlying data sources; data warehouse etc.). This role will be instrumental in (i) driving a robust approach to data-driven decision making; (ii) generating actionable insights; (iii) creating predictive models; and (iv) supporting fundraising and investor engagement processes. You will report to the COO of Distribution, IR & BD.
Responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and produce the weekly end-to-end production of management reports and fundraising-related analytics to support strategic decision-making
- Develop and maintain IR & BD systems and applications to ensure functionality aligns with business evolution
- Ensure accurate data collection, pipelines and databases to establish data integrity, and implement governance frameworks across all IR & BD areas
- Transform raw data into actionable insights using statistical techniques, dashboards, and trend interpretation, including benchmarking and competitive positioning
- Build and validate models (e.g., sales forecasting, investor targeting), leveraging AI to predict trends and behaviors for informed decision-making
- Design dashboards, automate reports, provide real-time visualizations, and deliver insights (e.g., investor sentiment, profile, and pipeline status)
- Advise on business strategy by providing insights on investor behavior, market trends, operational efficiencies, and growth opportunities
- Partner with IT, Investments, Sales, Finance, and other CIP functions to align data initiatives with business priorities and address specific obstacles
- Encourage a culture of optimization by monitoring performance metrics, advancing agile adaptations, and suggesting process improvements
- Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR), maintain data security, and promote ethical data practices in collaboration with relevant CIP functions
You
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative candidate holding a relevant degree in Data Science, Engineering, Business Management, or related fields, with 0–2 years of experience in a similar role. You could come from an in-house strategy or consultancy role focusing on business intelligence and financial advisory. Experience with fundraising and business development in a similar industry is beneficial but not a requirement.
Key qualifications include:
- Analytical mindset with experience in developing models, interpreting trends, and delivering actionable insights
- Attention to detail and a structured approach to data management and reporting
- Experience with Client Relationship Systems (e.g., Salesforce, DealCloud) and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Ideally experienced with building scalable data platforms, developing machine learning models and implementing data clustering solutions
- Stakeholder management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and reach goals in a busy environment
- Ability to work well in a time-sensitive setting and manage responsibilities
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential
- Knowledge of private markets or financial services is helpful, but it's not required
- Coding and data science experience including proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) is preferred but not essential
