Project Controls Director for the Northeast Programme

Join us in this role where you’ll deliver and lead the implementation of a world-class integrated project controls and risk management framework, enabling the successful NEP execution.
Welcome to Project Services
You’ll be part of Project Governance & Controls where you, together with your colleagues, will lead the deployment and integration of the project controls disciplines across the NEP EPC project. You’ll report directly to the Managing Director of the NEP EPC project and lead a team of dedicated specialists supporting the EPC project organization with project controls industry best practices. You’ll play a key role in providing the Managing Director and the EPC management organization with integrated performance insights.
As a team, we have an ambitious goal to become the most effective project management organisation of the offshore wind industry through empowerment, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
You’ll play an important role in:
- establishing an integrated controls framework to meet the specific project requirements, incl. scope, schedule, risk, change, cost, information management, and project coordination disciplines
- implementing the necessary project controls processes and tools in the project and with contractors, and ensuring that adequate training and awareness sessions are provided
- coordinating and managing the regular reporting of project progress and ad-hoc analysis allowing for effective monitoring, forecasting and execution of the project
- facilitating scenario analysis and support the project management team in decision-making
- supporting and managing the Project Governance & Controls team in their day-to-day activities and deliverables
- lead a multi-located Project Controls team together with your Deputy Project Controls Director
To succeed in the role, you:
- have minimum 10 years’ experience in a leading project management role or commensurate experience
- have experience in leading a team of specialists within project management and effective communication with team & stakeholders
- are an experienced user of relevant project controls & risk management tools & techniques, i.e., scheduling, HR planning, risk & change management
- have proven experience of project controlling/management in large infrastructure projects
- have leadership skills with proactive and co-operative way of working with team members and stakeholders
- have excellent communication skills and ability to tailor approach and present complex information to broad audiences.
