Are you an experienced technical leader with a passion for driving high-impact software projects? Do you combine deep technical insight with proven leadership in application development? NNIT is looking for a Technical Manager to join our Custom Application Development team and lead strategic initiatives for one of our largest pharmaceutical clients.
What you’ll do
As our new Technical Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering complex, business-critical IT solutions from start to implementation. The role isn’t just about managing schedules and resources, it’s about providing technical direction, solution leadership, and strategic oversight throughout the development lifecycle.
Your role includes:
• Leading a team of 15 highly skilled developers, testers, and project managers.
• Acting as the primary technical lead on large-scale application development programs.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define architecture, solution scope, and delivery roadmaps.
• Owning the end-to-end delivery of custom-built applications.
• Applying best-practice development methodologies
• Managing hybrid delivery models with nearshore and offshore teams.
• Identifying and resolving architectural risks, system integration challenges, and performance issues.
• Building strong, trust-based relationships with client, technical teams and internal stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who’s been involved in a similar role, leading technical teams, architecting solutions, and delivering mission-critical systems. You bring a unique combination of technical depth, project leadership and strategic mindset.
We expect you to bring:
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in leading complex IT application development projects and teams
• Experience working with digital transformation and modernizing legacy software
• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams across distributed locations.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe frameworks.
• Previous experience from a consultancy or regulated industries.
• Strong communication skills in Danish and English.
