Danfoss Sensing Solutions is looking for an experienced Category Manager to join our Global Procurement team in Denmark.
In this global role, you will be part of a diverse and dynamic team spread across Europe and Mexico, working on high-impact projects that contribute to shaping the future of sensor technology and sustainability.

Job Responsibilities
As our new Global Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing a selection of key suppliers, particularly within the electrical and electro-mechanical categories.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Accelerating cost-down impact by driving and executing sustainable savings pipelines across all levers, utilizing cross-functional teams.
- Developing and implementing supplier strategies to optimize performance, value, and long-term relationships.
- Creating global category strategies to ensure Danfoss is positioned as a leader in procurement efficiency.
- Negotiating with suppliers annually, either independently or in cooperation with CPC, to achieve the best possible value for Danfoss.
- Managing escalated supplier issues, including performance, capacity, and risk management, to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensuring compliance with contracts and certifications for all suppliers under your responsibility.
- Leading and supporting SEN change projects to drive improvements and innovation.
- Contributing to Danfoss' decarbonization ambition by supporting efforts to achieve a 25% reduction in upstream carbon footprint

The ideal candidate brings:
- 5+ years of category management experience, with a focus on direct categories, preferably in electrical or electromechanics.
- Proven experience managing categories in an international company with complex, cross-functional teams.
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Strong ability to evaluate open-book models and assess cost competitiveness effectively.
- Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.
- 3-5 years of experience in executing and implementing sourcing projects using Milestones methodology, including RFQ processes (considering TCO), Supplier Benchmarking, PPAP process coordination, Pilot Runs, and Ramp-up follow-ups.
