We're looking for creative LEGO builders with an eye for visual storytelling to help shape the future of play. As a Concept Product Designer, you'll develop bold new ideas that become the foundation for LEGO experiences — from imagined worlds and characters to play features and story-driven themes.

Core Responsibilities

• Explore early ideas for new LEGO themes, stories, characters, display and play experiences.

• Ideate on and prototype LEGO builds that are fun, functional, and faithful to the LEGO System in Play.

• Collaborate closely with Product Designers, Graphic Designers, Element Designers, and others to bring ideas to life.

• Work across themes, age groups, and building styles — from character-driven sets to system innovations.

• Support team dialogues on the value of play, model clarity, building challenge, and storytelling potential.

• In the LEGO design process, take the lead in the early phase of the design process, sketching and creating models using LEGO bricks in new and innovative ways.

As a Concept Product Designer, you’ll join one of our product teams and collaborate across disciplines to create meaningful play experiences that captivate and inspire builders across generations.

Do you have what it takes?

• Whether your background is in industrial design, concept design, visual development, toy design, or another creative field, what matters most is that you have experience with LEGO model building.

• A strong passion for building ideas in LEGO bricks and understanding of the LEGO System in Play.

• Experience developing original concepts, characters, or worlds — either for play, storytelling, or entertainment.

• Curiosity about designing for different age groups and a sense of what makes a LEGO set fun & playable, functional, or collectible.

• A portfolio that shows your ability to think visually and communicate early ideas.

• Comfortable prototyping in LEGO bricks and iterating based on feedback.

• Collaborative mindset, curiosity, and a playful approach to creative work.

• Comfortable working with ambiguity in early-stage development.

Portfolio Guidelines
Your portfolio is your opportunity to show how you think, build, and tell stories. Your portfolio should include:

• Examples of concept work (2D or 3D) that show how you develop ideas visually.

• Brick-based prototypes demonstrating how you bring ideas to life through building.

• Ideally, reflections on how you envision your models can be played with, what stories they tell, and what experiences they offer.

• A short, written introduction that gives us a glimpse into your creative background, process, and passion.
