About the role
We are looking to hire a skilled and ambitious TechOps Risk&Control Specialist, to join our Technology Operations team in Singapore, reporting to the Head of Technology Operations based in Copenhagen.

In this role you will get the chance to work as the 1st Line of Defence (1LoD) for operational and ICT risk within TechOps, you will ensure that risks are owned, managed, and mitigated effectively.
You will collaborate closely with the 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defence to maintain a robust control framework align with Regulatory requirements (including DORA), ISO certifications (e.g., ISO 27001), Internal policies & control framework, Jurisdiction-specific obligations, particularly in regions like APAC

What you will be doing
You oversee risk & control ownership: act as the risk and control owner within TechOps, ensuring day-to-day operations reflect sound risk management practices. Ensure risks are properly documented, assessed, and mitigated with effective operational controls. Maintain the TechOps risk register, and ensure controls are regularly reviewed and tested.

You work closely with Risk & Compliance (2LoD) and Internal Audit (3LoD) to ensure control design aligns with regulatory and internal expectations, observations, findings, and recommendations are tracked and remediated, contribute to the regulatory interpretation of frameworks like DORA, ISO 27001.

  • Regulatory Readiness & Framework Alignment: ensure TechOps processes comply with ISO certifications, BCSA expectations, DORA, and evolving regulatory obligations. Support expansion into new jurisdictions (e.g., APAC) by helping define local ICT control requirements. Update and align TechOps' control framework as regulations evolve.
  • Governance & Reporting: lead and structure the ICT Risk Forum owned by TechOps, ensuring regular engagement with stakeholders, provide accurate, timely risk and control reporting to leadership, governance forums, and regulatory engagements. maintain and communicate control effectiveness metrics, KRIs, and KPI dashboards.
  • Operational Integration: embed risk ownership into daily operations across Service Desk, ECC, Cloud, Platforms, and Security, provide guidance and training to TechOps teams on operational control expectations, ensure evidence and audit trails are maintained for all key controls.

What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a demonstrated capability from an applicable role where you have minimum 4 years’ experience in risk management frameworks, regulatory compliance and audit processes. You hold a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
You have strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA) and ISO certifications (e.g., ISO 27001).
Proficiency in ICT risk management and control frameworks. Good understanding of Azure cloud platforms, cybersecurity principles and practices.

As a person you are a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

  • Ability to lead and structure forums, providing guidance and training to teams.
  • Autonomous, flexible, you can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As Banking Circle is an international company it’s a requirement, that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages, it will be an asset
