We are looking for an ambitious student with strong business understanding, interest in quantitative industry analysis and an innovative mindset
Core Responsibilities
- Building up specialist skills in tailor-made industry tools and databases
- Heavy use of Excel/BI tools to analyze industry, competitors, categories, consumer profiles etc.
- Create clear picture of LEGO position in the “business of play”
- Help identifying and quantifying opportunity spaces and understanding competition for the LEGO Group
- Generating and visualizing insights and communicating these to team, internal business partners and stakeholders
- Dialogue and follow-up with team members, stakeholders and research vendors
- Ad hoc projects, including sharing relevant reports and key findings on internal insights portal
Play your part in our team succeeding
You will be part of The LEGO Group’s global research function, Global Insights (GI). GI has about 75 engaged employees across the world of which about 40 are working out of the corporate headquarter in Billund. In GI we foster an insights-led organization that brings insights to the forefront to drive commercial impact across the LEGO group. You will be joining the Foundation Excellence team within GI. The Foundation Excellence team is conducting end to end research across a range of different qualitative and quantitative approaches. Placing high quality research at the core of everything, we aim to create strategic vitality by delivering quick, agile and yet strong and impactful business recommendations.
This Industry student worker role will be specifically focused on providing actionable and impactful data and insights around business opportunities and threats, external benchmarking, market sizing, demographic profiles, new demand spaces, business models, GTM plans, etc.
Do you have what it takes?
It is a prerequisite that you are enrolled in an educational institution during your employment as a student worker. Ideally:
- You have 2 - 3 years left of your studies.
- You have a good business understanding and it is a big advantage if your studies include relevant marketing research or business courses.
- You are probably well under way with a relevant academic education (cand.merc, cand. oecon or cand.negot etc.) and you might already have marketing or business research experience.
- You like to dive into especially quantitative data but also qualitative data, analyze them and turn them into actionable insights. It is expected that you are a super user of the MS office tools - especially Excel and PPT. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- You find AI interesting and is open to the use of it in research, and might already have experience in how to use it.
- The position as a student worker in GI requires a structured working style, that you can take on task responsibilities and that you are able to contribute with ideas and input, in relation to the task you are involved in.
- You are ambitious, goal-oriented, engaged and motivated, demonstrate positive thinking and a can-do attitude.
- You find energy in being tasked with tactical as well as strategic business problems, learn from them and contribute to their solution.
- You have a strong business understanding and is strategic, analytical, and communicative in how you approach tasks.
- You are a strong visual thinker who understands to communicate insights and learnings.
- You are strong when working on your own, but also thrive when working in collaboration with others.
