Procurement Performance & Capability Development Manager
H. Lundbeck A/S
Procurement Performance and Capability Development Manager
Are you passionate about transforming procurement into a powerhouse of strategy, innovation and talent?! At Lundbeck, we are looking for a forward-thinking Procurement Performance and Capability Development Manager with a mandate to elevate our functional capabilities and drive tangible impact across the business.
Your new role
In this newly established role, you’ll be partnering with your colleagues in Corporate Procurement and business at large, while strategizing and executing initiatives that span from talent development and performance enhancement to supplier and risk management to operational and strategic project oversight. You will work with diverse global stakeholders spearheading programs and initiatives that shape how we engage with our suppliers, manage risk, derive full contract value, and develop procurement professionals of – and for – the future.
More than being a great job in a great company, it is also your chance to:
- Lead and drive strategic initiatives to support our Global Procurement strategy.
- Lead the Procurement Academy revamp with a strong focus on skill development and knowledge management.
- Define competency model and career development paths for current and future procurement leaders at Lundbeck.
- Ensure that our procurement policies are continuously updated and stay relevant, that compliance is measured, and that corrective actions are taken in due course.
- Orchestrate our global procurement projects pipeline, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and optimal resource allocation.
- Oversee, maintain and develop our internal and external procurement portal(s).
- Champion supplier and risk management activities to ensure that Lundbeck is a customer of choice, but also that we protect and strengthen our operations.
- Improve – and revolutionize – our contract coordination and value management process.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement through strategic initiatives and ad-hoc projects.
If the above sounds like a challenge enough for you and you are ready to put your procurement and business expertise into action, and lead initiatives that resonate within and far beyond our organization, we want to hear from you!
This position is based in Valby, Denmark (Lundbeck HQ).
Your future team
The role of Procurement Performance and Capability Development Manager sits within the Procurement Excellence function of Lundbeck’s Corporate Procurement and has a reporting line to Head of Procurement Excellence. Corporate Procurement reports to the CFO, which is why we are focused on data, insights and execution.
The Procurement Excellence team will be 8-9 people at full strength, split roughly in half between Valby, Denmark and Krakow, Poland. Our key focus areas are Source to Pay global process ownership, Business insights and data management, Procurement sustainability, and Performance and Capability development.
Our culture can be described as one where curiosity is “table stakes”, adaptability is a requirement (in view of how fast and unpredictably the world around us is changing) and accountability is part of who we are and what we do. When you join the team, you are going to be the “adult in the room” from day one, but you will also be able to count on the collective knowledge and insights of the whole organization, as we are doing our best to work cross-functionally and execute considering end-to-end impact.
What you bring to the team
There is never a perfect or right background. It all depends on the person and his/her curiosity, drive, integrity, adaptability, etc. However, we believe that the below-listed qualifications and experiences will set a candidate apart:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, procurement, supply chain management, or a similar field.
- Effective communication and facilitation skills.
- Solid project management and program development skills. Certification in procurement or project management is a strong plus.
- Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of procurement processes in an enterprise.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
Our promise to you
